  1. What happened to the Dennis Miller show? It was the best show available on your station.

    • Dan,

Thanks for the post. We no longer have national political talk shows on Independent Asheville Radio. We have been open from the start that we were not going to be keeping national political shows, as we continue to move toward more and more local/regional programming. 1350 WZGM now has more locally produced programs than any other commercial station in Asheville, by a lot. We plan to continue in that direction.

Dennis Miller’s show website is He streams his show there, as well as offers podcasts.

We appreciate you listening to Asheville’s ONLY locally owned and operated commercial broadcast company. I hope you will find the wide array of conversational (as well as music) community programming to be useful, informative and enjoyable.

      Matt Mittan
      General Manager,
      Independent Asheville Radio

  2. Hi, I missed the 2:30 Pet Talk today (Friday, 1/17/14) in which Janice Mitchell of PAWS participated or was interviewed. Do you archive these segments? Is there any way I can access this material and listen to it, either streaming or as a download? Thanks.

  3. Would you be able to mention our Agent Orange Town Hall Meeting being held on Oct 25,2014? It is being conducted by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 124, Asheville. It will be held at Enka Campus of A-B Tech. More info at ”“. It will be an open discussion with a panel of doctors, reps from VVA Nat’l HQs and veteran services officers. Open to all Vietnam veterans and their families (Agent Orange is being found 4 generations deep). Thank you for your consideration.
